The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 老少配公路片就是我的雷点，即使是东木，也是暮气沉沉，毫无生意。
人老了就开始想在传承这个事情上做文章，老爷子也不例外。
不得不说，剧本上实在是太糙了 ，各种剧情转折和人物动机都说不过去 ，但是作为东木的影迷，还能说什么呢，有一部看一部
剧本很烂，老爷子老态龙钟谈不上啥演技，就当风景片看看吧，没什么意思。

东木老了，故事不再刚了，可是就为了最后车上那一段关于“硬汉被夸大”的对话，我再多一分情怀分
在只会努嘴的小孩面前，东木的演技太内敛、深沉了，他们自始至终都没融在一起。至于营造气氛和解决冲突，老头连行活都不屑于使，直接一记「鸡械降神」给我看呆。

感觉老头子有点为了在有生之年多拍点片而不得不有片就拍。
一部温情的西部片，故事简单温和，伍德老爷子一把年纪还这么高产，劳模啊！和小朋友成了忘年交，一路很欢快。
东木还能保持这么高的创作力实在是令人佩服。而且本身拍出来的东西也不差，确实很温情，也很治愈。
