The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 原作里庞大的设定背后有相应的智谋和暴力支撑，电影摆出了原作设定的外壳，对智谋和暴力的表现效果却十分平庸。

从故事到特效再到拍摄手法都极其俗套且无聊的恐怖电影。每一个单元故事都不知所云，结局走向迷惑且完全意料之中，能看到不少《铁线虫入侵》、《鬼校亡友》、《密室逃生》的影子。导演为了制造恐怖而强行恐怖，然而音乐和拍摄都不太高明导致氛围渲染也很失败。
3.5星，降低期望来看整体除了有点赶，其他的都还行。（多0.5星给横滨流星和三浦翔平
期待这么久，结果...好无语的梗。牙科寄生虫那个可以拍个电影了，让人想起铁线虫。

稀烂！综合各国元素但又拍的不伦不类！哎……还是多出点像哭声之类有点文化底蕴的片子吧
最终对决：抽王八……看主角抽了半个多小时王八也是醉了
导演应该感谢摄影师，冷寂的氛围拍得不错。好好的一个原住民神话，拍得稀烂，最后怪力女主单挑怪物3分钟ko感觉到了导演对大家智商的嘲讽。鹿角怪物，邪魔温迪哥，原本是个人，因为饿吃了人之后更饿停不下来。
