The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 电视剧版剧情弱的缺点被放大了。续接第二季结尾人类&巨魔的惊悚互换，讲了一个半小时居然是母爱主题，有点白瞎剧版那么多有趣的设定（我那么大一只雷鸟呢！）…主角依然没什么成长空间，感觉就是没必要拍成电影。
故事很简单，但也真的好感人，再多的技巧都会败给真情。
在妈妈的怀抱里，我全身开满花。母爱是绝不理所当然的，无论是人或巨魔，爱始终是羁绊，相隔多远都念着你。（以及配乐好好听啊！鼓点像温暖的持续跳动的心脏🥺
最后的peace and love可能必须要一些牺牲人来实现吧 至少红眼巨魔的哥哥会记住他 Twig Tontu Alfur 还是好可爱啊
节奏有点问题，作为大电影情节太简单化，如果前两季的相关人士都来来客串会观感好些。看新闻时受到的疫情影响，可以理解。期待最终季。
母爱，随时可以坐起来。在地面上，看不到地下的事。
没看过前景剧集，误打误撞跑来看了电影版终章。天啊，每个角色都善良勇敢，不论是希尔达的朋友还是巨魔人。就算是猝不及防的看到结尾躺在地底下的母亲，还是被感动得一塌糊涂。
其实分数应该更高一点，看评论有不少人没看过TV版就直接看这部电影了。豆瓣的电影粉和剧集粉往往是不交集的，很多人只看电影但不看剧集，但本片并不是一部剧情独立的电影，而是第2季的后续，单独抽出来看肯定是观感不太好的。
那个队长真的很烦人，想扣一分的，但是因为妈妈给五星。

从剧情和世界观较怪诞小镇似乎都弱了一些，但童年的冒险总归是永远的梦
结局真的好好，希尔达一定是以后会给自己孩子看的动画。
哇，好久没有这么温暖结局的动画片了，赞美。真的，有时候发现人家动画片都比很多人会讲故事。。。
人类可以成为自然界最顶端的生物，但永远不能无节制的支配自然界，永远敬畏自然呐…
既欣喜有有些淡淡的忧伤。欣喜于填了第二季的坑，忧伤于制作方没有充分利用前两季的元素。但欣喜的程度更多一些。莫名涌上一种事已至此的担心。

呜呜呜太美好了，我永远爱希尔达世界ಥ_ಥ 最后结局好理想ಥ_ಥ 世上最难的事就是让人放下成见和平相处了。希望所有大人小孩都去看希尔达ಥ_ಥ 坐等今年第三季(｡･ω･｡)ﾉ
整个风格和叙事还是偏低幼，母爱与和谐，对于小朋友来说还是非常合适的。
