The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一部赏心悦目的武侠爽片，从开头的雨夜追凶到最后的雪中燃酒，好一个快意恩仇，替天行道。正如引用李白的“十步杀一人，千里不留行”那样，我们看到了一部具有传统武侠精神的电影，看似玩世不恭的瞎子，却是有血有肉的任侠之士。电影打斗场面精彩纷呈，令人目不暇给。当然，也有不少重口味的拷问画面。如果这个世界需要一个瞎子来主持公道，那一定不是一个光明的世界。它反应出电影的时代背景，一个盛极而衰的大唐现状。这也让曾经是将军后来沦为捉刀人的盲侠，显得更加慷慨悲壮。
人设显然是抄的盲侠座头市。座头市是日本剑戟片时代的代表人物，拍了数十部，还曾大战独臂刀。几年前就有一部国产电视电影山寨过。
用短短74分钟，来讲述一名剑客行侠仗义的心路，作为网大电影可圈可点。故事线清晰，没那么多累赘的细枝末节，演员表演的真诚和认真度还蛮感动人的。尤其是谢苗演的成瞎子，放到武侠连续剧里也会是令人印象深刻的角色。另外电影的场面做得很好，尤其是武打戏部分的打斗场面，以及几个大场景的武打戏的调度，很有大片范儿。这部电影可算作国产网大在武侠片里的一次很好的探索了。
一个神奇的瞎子，无人能敌，无人能挡，杀尽邪恶，匡扶正义。北野武的《座头市》除了摆造型和小幽默以外，没啥太大特色，根本无法比拟《独臂刀》，只因为那是北野武。本片没有泼血，只有飘雪，比《盲侠》认真了一点而已。5
看了导演说的，这些素人撑起一部戏，连台词很多都是临场发挥，必须五星好评，真实接地气的生活，潮汕话的歌也好好听，边看边点了个广式外卖。
视听上皆有不足，只能给四星。
2.5星没入戏没共情…后知后觉意识到了不舒服的点在哪里，电影对这位妈妈这个小镇的凝视有抹不去的俯视意味，年轻对年老、城市对小镇的高傲…
还是那句话，抄袭、满满的倭风！
拍的真好～最喜欢最后妈妈在飞机上陷入沉思的镜头！在那一刻我仿佛听见她内心的千言万语，些许激动，又些许伤感无奈。忙活了这一辈子，竟没有坐过一次飞机，“是不是觉得你妈啥也不晓？”太真实了，太触痛了。
这就是有多大投资做多大事的妙招，剧本，人物都极简，省钱，贵在动作的渲染，确实瞎子是个好设定，有点盲人的动作特色。有点可惜的是缺少足够的亮点，要是能再琢磨琢磨更好。
可圈可点，还可以拍续集，谢苗怎么就发展成武打明星呢
同样是演一个失明的角色，谢苗这个比安志杰的《盲战》要好。都值得鼓励。动作演员要想红，就需要尝试不同类型的角色，要坚持打下去。可以多和导演探讨剧本，别因为演而演。
初看潮语电影，稍稍尬住几分钟后渐入佳境。没有硬尬的剧情，表演可圈可点，很街头巷尾，看不出“演”的痕迹。演“妈妈”的素人演员演得真好，完全能hold住。
杀人偿命，只是想要个公道，在这个地方生活了这么多年，才知道这是一个没有王法的地方。就想要个公道!
制作精良上佳，打戏流畅犀利，远超预期。谢苗最近两年网大也差不多了，可以从男二男三开始走走大银幕了啊~~~
目中无人这个电影名字就起得很聪明，一语双关。电影的摄影，服化道都很不错，审美在线，比很多院线电影都好，营造的武侠感也很干脆利落，用一个流行词来形容，就是很锐！谢苗也不愧是曾经跟李连杰并肩作战打过天下的人，在电影里武打动作让人赏心悦目，有一种爽片感，这多少离不开他有功夫底子，这电影还蛮令人惊喜的，期待以后这种片子会更多出现吧。
不是我目中无人，我是真看不见。倒也谈不上“院线质量”，哦可能是现在院线质量跟这也差不多。
差点被片名劝退系列，没想到成片这么自然坦荡。还是能看出制片粗糙的部分，但也正因此感受到了导演的大胆和选人慧眼：启用素人的风险并不在于专业素养的缺乏，而是人的秉性和阅历是否贴合情节。事实证明浸润过潮汕本土民俗和闭塞婚姻观环境的人，释放出来的情感和默契胜过一切所谓的演技教科书。作为一个从小成长于类似骑楼民居的岛民，拜神烧香流水席和祈福，还有片中母亲的人物形象，像极了以前每年寒假回老家，我娘人前亏我李草包，人后说我是李老师的样子。只有爱，会带来一地鸡毛的家，也能修复一地鸡毛的家，人性的卑微和美丽皆源于此。 P.S. 玩具船长的客语bgm是真好听又精准啊
必须对网大改观了，有很多前人类型片的影子和脉络，也很粗糙，但看得出用了些心思，无论是镜头语言还是剪辑。赞同热门影评第一的那位，找个好的编剧，拾掇拾掇剧本。不要老是用四十年前邵氏《目无王法》的那套借古讽今～
整个故事和细节都给人好真实的感觉，拍得真好
