The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 不喜欢，别营销最佳歌舞片了，故事很无聊很烂，到后半段才渐入佳境了一丢丢…爱乐之城可以甩这个电影九条街。
音乐的部分还是蛮喜欢的，确实没有lalaland那么有印象深刻的歌。
音乐剧粉滤镜加成，看到了很多Rent的影子，LMM这情怀牌很会打啊。

故事，歌曲，表演都不錯，但舞台音樂劇與電影的那種違和感從頭持續到尾
没看进去，全程如坐针毡，如鲠在喉，如芒刺背。情节简单俗套，表演肤浅浮夸。不知道是为了复古还是怎么着，曲风很老，不抓我，而且感觉唱得时机非常怪，为唱而唱，强硬程度堪比拿着大声公指挥情绪。编剧有野心，努力想学着用剧中剧提一提档次，奈何才华没撑起来，最终沦为自吹自擂，不过“没有人能只通过描写自己而变得伟大”，更何况是一言可蔽之的人生。讽刺的是在众多追梦综艺，电影的当下，本片作为一个完全不接地气的竞品呈现了它看不上的时代，“每天上演着千篇一律的作品”，甚至做的更糟糕。
其实能感受到创作表达欲的喷涌，不知道导演是不是也借男主之口说得那段表达自己的观点。串讲故事的手法在近些年的电影里还是算新奇的，所以看的时候觉得信息量很大。但是也如一位豆友所说，全片都在情绪高点没有启程转折，有点难入戏。然后我对音乐剧的欣赏能力也比较有限吧，歌声穿耳过，挺难留下什么深刻印象的。
讲故事的方式很棒，在生活中创作，讲生活搬进音乐与音乐剧中，故事的讲述也就将生活和音乐剧融入一起，很自然。镜头画面也都很棒。加菲演过戏剧的原因吧，有功底，演唱也厉害呀。
