The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 竟然看哭了，一度感觉是纪录片，太真实的潮汕风土人情，前半部乡土人情片，后半部都市爱情片，合胃口！
语言蕴含着很多气息，方言电影更有味道。本土演员更生动，用得好。
先码后评。有种央视6高清电影的质感，但潮汕的人情味拍得很出彩。
不过也是为了切合他们两人分开的主要原因。
用十分朴素的方法讲了一个十分朴素地故事，搭配起来刚刚好
很荣幸超前点映能见到导演和主创团队到场，导演在采访中说了一段话让我觉得挺触动的，他说现代社会农村趋向于城市化，潮汕风土人情和方言文化能保留完整很珍贵，作为一个热爱家乡的胶己人，让更多人认识潮汕人就有了一种与生俱来的使命感。想法非常好，但没能跳出外地人对潮汕人的刻板印象，而且故事讲得很平实，没有惊喜。

好好看，好真实，在深圳的打工人看哭了至少3次。
有亲情，有爱情，有家庭，也可以说是人文片，就是还有一丝纪录片的味道，几位素人演员的表演真的很棒。国产电影还真是小成本小制作更容易带给人惊喜。相比蹩脚的中文片名来说，这英文片名真是绝妙。另外，这部片子竟然是4K60fps的。

处处透露着年轻人在现实世界里的尴尬。
朴实。瑕不掩瑜。
特别好，是看了很多中国电影都没有见过的好。细腻，真实，又哭又笑。
比较接底气，也有生活感，方言、可爱的奶奶和龅牙婆邻居以及妈妈的表现很加分。
如果全部是群众演员的话，演技确实比专业演员好一点

还不错，很有地方特色，烟火气十足。就是潮汕话真的一点都听不懂。
妈妈演得太好太好了，真实，可爱，连那段一镜过都能把控得那么好，细节满满，好喜欢这个角色的塑造和演员的演绎，都不敢相信是素人，满分。
文化差异太大，实难产生共鸣。当家庭轻喜剧看的，结果平淡的过于无趣。
