The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 风格很喜欢史诗级的场面，歌剧化的表演，太完美了。
观感与乔尔·科恩的《麦克白的悲剧》别无二致，企图用视听掩盖拿王子复仇四个字可以概括的陈旧莎翁戏剧内核，在当代几乎是没有任何意义的。
味太浓了又邪又戏剧（其实画面太好的cult看着有点怪
配乐，画面，各种部分，拿个8分是没问题的。但是为什么每次我去电影院看电影时，想看动作片但总能整出文艺片，北欧人一样，蝙蝠侠也是。里面对北欧文化刻画的很真实，很多次我都在想为什么主角不直接拿刀冲上去，或者他叔不直接砍死主角，后面才知道，哇哦，这是部落文化！如果客观来说，这是一部好电影，毕竟画面什么的都太美了，但主观来看，san值狂掉，各种宗教文化，ntr，以及蜜汁操作，如果不带入这些文化真的一种要烂的感觉。喜欢宗教的可以看看，如果就想看个商业片放松一下，那还是算了。
导演的风格就是这样的史诗片也搞的神神叨叨的，血脉大树之类的，所以故事意义和目的性比较隐晦，缺少酣畅淋漓的戏剧感受。整体还行。
实在是失望，这么大制作下，摄影确实更加宏大、精致，但也更加空洞、无趣；剧本方面北欧版《王子复仇记》也没啥新鲜的，我期待的“女人的秘密”这个点最后还是处理的很tacky。对比同样打了三星的《绿衣骑士》，还是比这部强，果然A24才是真的牛。

大量的中文对白，相当多的中国元素，文戏武戏的比例，几场动作戏的创意，节奏等都完成的不错，很有诚意的尝试，非常希望能在内地顺利上映啊，让更多人至少看过后再去评价
