虽然2021版称得上是老版两部曲的第三部，但也只是对老版换汤不换药的简单延续，绝大部分戏份是老版角色的孙辈后代，老版觉得只是在片尾高潮戏时才露面，戏份很少，几乎是打酱油。老版四人组中的一个白人队员由于演员早在2004已经离世，所以2021版采取了CG重现的方式让老版四人组重新团聚，卖了把情怀。
