The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 3.5星。多出来的0.5是本片表达的社会意义。大多数婚姻的维系需要一个孩子，大多数同性家庭不会有孩子。经由抚育孩子所凝结的家庭纽带不适用于大多数同性家庭。这也意味着，同性伴侣之间需要建立一种强有力的联接（比如共同的理想志趣或者强有力的互相理解等）。或者如福柯所说，突破异性恋思维的以友情为纽带的新型人际关系。

主角们颜值都很高，剧本写的也很精彩，不停的惊喜和反转。
题材是好题材，导演功力真不行，在一起二十年，不加剧情就出轨，保罗有错吗？为什么还要被说出轨是两个人的责任。出轨的人被原谅，被理解，收获儿子的理解。被出轨的人结局却是一个人，你说好笑不好笑。

本以为完美无瑕的同性恋家庭范本一夜之间变抓马闹剧，我喜欢的女孩以为我是同性恋并打算撮合我和她哥，没有停留在所谓的平权和认同，而是落点在亲情上，有点套路但也有惊喜，看了能会心一笑的可爱电影。但我仍然不同意出轨方的说辞。
算是比较套路的同性家庭剧，探讨的问题也是框架内，还好演得有灵气。
