The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 数学家版的闻香识女人，但表达的更多，品德、人性、教育、学术甚至是政治问题
大鱼吃小鱼，小鱼吃虾米，奴隶和人贩子共情？其实这是一个关于选择的故事。男主时不时跳出来的道德感让我恶心，但你不能不说电影足够写实。从处女作“苏格拉底”就能感受到这个导演追求纪录的影像风格，难得的是连上一部的主演都保留了，真长情啊...
人性就是这么残酷。6个身体1个灵魂永远被囚禁。
社会阶层得跃迁太难了，尤其是在这严重内卷得时代，向上的阶梯注定是用同行者的肉身堆砌。抛去无用的仁慈和怜悯，即便是个工具人也要当最有用的那一个。剥削者和被剥削者的唯一区别在于内心是否燃烧着可以吞噬一切的剥离人性的不惜任何代价都要过上更加体面生活的强烈欲火。

Not a very compelling story.很真实但实在太老套了…放在二十年前都不新鲜。Santoro居然老成这样，真是岁月不饶人啊………………
有韩朝背景、逆袭成果、对功利应试的批判，然而观感模糊，较为平淡，比较深刻的片段是脱北者说出关于数学的思考和乐趣以及脱北者与儿子之间的冲突。
白老头也一样是囚徒，一个口哨就证明了。每个人都是囚徒，能力强些的还有机会给你选是否升一级
