梅拉尼罗兰的自导自演令人刮目相看，完整地营造了一个色调暗淡、配乐阴沉的精神病院，清晰明了的传递女人的不同情绪，从而塑造“疯”这一印象。
结合了好多法国的精神分析，沙可和他的治疗，催眠，以及歇斯底里被看作是女性反抗父权的症状，患者照片和医生诊断的相互参照关系...
这个动画就像现在的迪士尼，明明魔法快不行了，还要告诉全世界我还强着呢。

回顾今日，对女性隐性的压迫并未消失，依然存在社会的各个方面，并不为人觉，甚至更可悲的是更多的女性选择了沉默，转而成为压迫者的“帮凶”。
本不想讨论隐喻因为觉得普遍到几乎可以和现实进行相当直白的对照，看了眼其他评论，发现只要是出自男人之手（尤其是差评），几乎讲的都是言之无物且浮于表面的废话。这绝妙的讽刺几乎让这部电影再次上升了一个层级。
