在美国野蛮生长后又得在中华文化圈受礼教的束缚。虽然但是，换汤不换药。
虽然这是一部关于成长的电影，但重点讲述的是家庭关系。
过年期间看了「瀑布」，没想到这么快能够看到「美国女孩」，还是有些惊喜。同样是疫情，不管是非典还是新冠，相同的主题依旧是母女之间的矛盾纠纷和家庭中的紧张气氛。相比之下我更喜欢「瀑布」多一些，起码前者我看到了些许阳光，而后者依旧在压抑的情绪边缘随时爆发。
剧情不拖泥带水，打戏很多很长很好看。就是立意有点弱了，非黑即白的结局，杀完人一点升华都没有就开始播片尾演员表了……

每个人都令人窒息，但你又明白每个人在这片土地上又必然存在。或许寄希望于任何外物帮你逃离都是徒劳，找到白马就不要给它缰绳，让它随意奔出这围栏。
叙事四平八稳，不温吞，也没有太刻意的戏剧化冲突。面对生命流逝摇摇欲坠，家庭关系紧张碰撞，大环境焦虑恐慌，林嘉欣的表演非常细腻，收放自如，隐忍的，狂躁的，无奈的，崩溃的，都处理的很到位，很难不对她共情。
一些关于03年非典的戏份当下看起来十分应景。
建模糙是糙了许，文戏弱是弱了些，配音差是差了点，奈何武戏相当炫酷。
人物角色都很饱满，配角一个个也都很有特色，动用了大量的武打戏份还有定格招式，能看出制作方对打戏也有深入研究过。
在国产动画里这是目前看到动作设计最牛逼的一个，分镜头到位，西门仁的想法跟《英雄》里秦始皇一样。
动漫能有这样流畅的打戏实属不易，已经在疯狂安利同学了，好动漫应该分享，不能被埋没了。
打戏流畅，文戏有思考。
有些人对身边的家人很苛刻，对外人反而很温柔。
字幕字体不错，技能解说不错，结尾兵器展示不错，配乐不错
