The IMAX "Cosmic Voyage" film was made as a public service with sponsorship by the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. On DVD, borrowed from my local public library, it plays at just over 30 minutes with Morgan Freeman supplying a pleasing narrative. As one would expect from an IMAX film, the image quality is superb and the Dolby 5.1 sound track is very well done. Simulated cosmic explosions shake your walls! That is, if you have a good powered subwoofer in your system. The film takes a very useful approach to examining the size of the universe, from tiny sub-atomic particles to the vastness of the whole universe. (Fortunately, when God created the Universe he had dispatched a few angels with video cameras at different vantage points so we get to see actual footage from several billion years ago.) The film starts in Venice, where the discovery of the telescope originated, and uses a one-meter hoop as a reference point, then gradually goes larger by powers of 10, e.g. 10 meters, 100, 1000, etc until we can see the whole universe. Then it takes the opposite journey, going smaller by powers of 10 until be see inside sub-atomic particles. The story is well-woven with beautiful effects created especially for this film. It is entertaining and educational at the same time. All of "oldsters" can enjoy it for the scientific history we are already familiar with, and all the "youngsters" can enjoy it for the educational supplement it provides. Overall a masterful film. Any numerical "rating" of "Cosmic Voyage" is meaningless. If one is looking for a superb film about our universe and modern theories of its formation, this one is hard to beat. 可能我本身就不太喜欢这种天才坚持自我的故事
虽然讲的是逐梦演艺圈的故事，但融入了奔三焦虑话题，所以也可以跟普通观众建立联系。LMM自己的音乐剧被别人导演舞美做得华丽，自己导演别人的故事却能做到不追求浮华、选择最适合故事的表现形式。Andrew Garfield演得很好，希望明年奥斯卡能拿个提名。
像是和哎嘛石头的某种隔空共舞，奈何歌曲实在是不怎么抓我。
可能是因为拍的是音乐剧编剧的传记，能看得出来在刻意保留音乐剧的舞台，限制在了狭窄的空间当中，并且其中一直穿插着演讲式的叙事，也可以体会到创作团队对音乐剧的忠诚。故事其实不太到位，但是频繁出现的音乐又非常出色地弥补了这个缺陷。三十岁一过，代表着人生又进入到下一个阶段，年轻的梦想与追求，要不会顺利地风平浪静或天花乱坠，要不会被现实碾得稀碎。为了自己的事业，我们投入了太多的时间，与朋友和恋人之间的距离逐渐增大，前进的路也在不知不觉中偏离了方向。但给予希望的往往不是自我消化，而是来源于身边所爱之人。时间不够又如何，死于三十五岁又如何，至少没有因为现实而变得媚俗。在离去的那一刻，人生停滞了，但留下的作品，正在这个世界不停地绽放。
7.3 倒是看出了一些黑暗中的舞者式的设计，但初执导筒的林聚聚显然是不具备冯提尔那样的影像嗅觉，剪辑很多时刻是反而是破功的，摄影机的运动也因此被破坏；它依靠的更多是对于乔纳森拉森，以至于音乐剧本身的真情流露，伪纪录片与内心的剧场穿插共奏，从而谱写出不平凡的人生乐章，《梅艳芳》至少也应该这么拍吧。
再走一步，再走两步。没有一刻可以浪费
没想到和pose如此梦幻联动！对不起jonathan！我一定会去看一场现场rent的！曲子没有期待中的抓人，但还行吧… 我最喜欢的是susan天台的那场。michael和susan的演绎比招来的演员动人多了。所以superbia有演出过吗？我真得好想看“外星人和未来”的音乐剧…

虽然是传记片但也把焦距Jonathan个人的视角扩大到所有的创作者的痛苦。swing and a miss, swing and a miss, till you hit.
简直是恐三十岁患者的警钟...但真的很好哭，依然是为了未实现梦想而崩溃流泪的一天，哭完继续咸鱼罢了。

LMM首次做導演能有這個水平，他真的很有才華。這電影形式眼前一亮，展現musical行業的艱難，並致敬了LMM的知音Johnathan Larson。Broadway充滿有才華的演員，但有幾個能以此為生，感謝這些堅持夢想的人們❤️
已经对这种中规中矩的传记片有些审美疲劳。疲惫又热情的加菲。
因为与传奇伟大相去甚远
get不到。正如许多人吐槽的，口水歌无法引发共鸣。

Turn 30 in 1990
好听好看又有新意。已经难以归纳类型了，但就是这种打破类型和结构限制的叙事方式，另观众的代入感更强，能够完全被情绪所沐浴。在两个小时的市场内仿佛走完了男主角的一生。加菲完全值得一个影帝提名。
