The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 整体的故事比较完整，笑点也不算尬。佳佳说话没东北味显得和周围人有点割裂，男主对父亲的复杂态度铺垫的略显不足。题材特别好，演员的表演都能达到及格线以上。

东北主体电影攒人的来回这几个人。
创作上的鸡贼，将电影两大热门题材“殡葬”和“刑满释放人员”糅合在一起，以为走心，实则做作。故事稀碎，一些笑点还成。
蕴含着对特殊人群关怀内核的一部喜剧，觉得拍的也挺好的了。选角上，张琪、教母、老四这几个真的觉得是挺出彩的，也感受到了佳佳对于老朋友的照顾。觉得在这个大环境底下，能拍出来这样的电影已经挺不错的了，值得鼓励，佳佳是个好演员，还是个有追求的导演！看见他就觉得挺喜人的，也接地气。
故事的内核挺好（刑满释放人员再就业➕心理救赎），但是细节经不起推敲，剪辑也不流畅，许多剧情可有可无
复古苏联风格化移置至今特别像爱死机第三季，反而取材扁平了深意，不如搞点前端未来主义

诸多类型片的影子，但总体完整流畅，看得轻松而放松。
6.4/10，内核挺有人情味，摆脱了东北喜剧一贯闹腾的姿态，讲了个稍有余味的故事。
比预期的要好很多，在线上“大电影”里应该属于佳作了。
