The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 好爱这个世界啊！爱人们的善意，慷慨，微笑，爱小酒馆里手拉手载歌载舞的喧闹，小岛上的温情小调让人对纽芬兰小镇满怀憧憬，灾难面前用光照出一片大美。
被故事打动，在这个世界日渐隔绝的时候，这样一个基于真实故事展现人性之美的音乐剧真太棒了。不论来自于哪个国家，文化，宗教，这一刻我们都是islander
对美国人而言，911当然是一场悲剧。而对美国以外的人而言，911的意义则要复杂得多。它可以是分流与冲突的开端，也可以是对团结的提醒和呼唤——具体相信哪个，我们可以自己选。

看的第一部音乐剧
在如今全球lockdown的时期，“No man is an island"的颂歌显得尤为可贵。这也是我看过了布景、角色、场景转换最有创意的一部音乐剧了，虽然一人分饰好几角，但是个个都人设分明，没有一丝混乱。里面的不同种族、宗教信仰、性别和国籍的陌生人的碰撞和交往都是理想社会中才能达到的和谐。看到最后音乐剧中原型的人和演员一一合影的时候，一边哭一边觉得：哇，原来世界可以这么美好啊。
让灾难从一个抽象的事件变成一个可以触摸容易共情的事件

19年买了票，20年全部演出取消，21年终于看到，大家都是来自远方，也欢迎远方。
很好的音乐剧，但这是一个音乐剧的录像带，而不是电影。
二刷才感到Something's Missing才是题眼，灾难的痛苦不会因善意而模糊。
bravo！这才是音乐剧！一个沉重的故事能够用诙谐幽默的曲调讲述最后又归为向上的生活，实在是演绎得太精彩！舞美？几乎零成本！导演编排得太妙！在有限的空间去呈现一座小镇在重大灾难下五天里无私的奉献！在灾难面前的团结总是那么令人动容！为什么我们的音乐剧无法去诙谐的缓解伤痛被？为什么伤痛总被刻意加深拷上镣铐无法再提及呢，这就是格局吧，好遗憾。歌也都好好听，泪目了都，喜欢！！
