The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 2021年10月17日；适合小孩子的合家欢的爆米花型动画片，部分瑕疵略打眼；无论是否考虑创作制作背景和档期情况，都是可以及格分数的片子，不过也无法更多了，先说不足，反派的安排有些生硬，结尾的蓝色环形蛋非常duck不必，以既定事实为切入点最后却无法解释客观世界并不存在物种的违和是至少me站在成年人角度上来看感到的最大败笔；至于台词的网络用语化确实也是存在不同感受度的争议之处，不过算不上缺点；优点还是不少的，值得表扬的发动故事的脑补能力/想象力首当其冲，技巧层面的对比，故事的运转以及逻辑的搭建，不再沉重的调侃，嘛，这一点要是最终能进化成自我调侃而不仅仅有所克制地自带私货就好了；制作方面没有明显地短板，和长板，惊艳或创意性分镜有限；临时却妥帖的安排要是爆米花和其后的午餐更美味就好了的NO.196…
十年难得一遇的网大精品，就打斗程度已值得四星
演员，剧情，视觉等等跟导演的关系也太大了，看了二十分钟看不下去了，很尴尬，浪费了安志杰
一部非常看好的动画片，简直太可爱了，两只长得像甜甜圈叫做菲拉萌意外通过时空隧道穿越到未来，拯救种族的故事。动画片的想象力太丰富了，可爱的小动物穿越到不同时代和国家，很有中国元素，还可以了解历史和地理，在娱乐中增长知识，最后的结局也很温馨，太适合小朋友观看了！
大多围绕甜甜圈展开，，很有那种搞笑包袱，推荐推荐观看！

翻译的真的让人无语，何必翻译成这样，小朋友都听不懂。我家宝宝爱莎可以看六七遍，这个看到中间宝宝一直说“妈妈我不想看了，可以走了吗？”。角色更像长了个洞的小仓鼠。
剧情实在不行，而且演技拉跨，打斗切镜也多，唯一有看头的也就一个女反派。
作为网大合格，为啥还都打2星。鼓励一下吧！

这动作场面连杰哥都带不动，尴尬到家…那几个变态演的，变态看了都害怕吧…剧情？这真实存在的吗？
还挺适合小孩看。动画角色还是搞得很可爱的！画面也很有活力，有点科幻色彩。但是梗铺得不太好，有点尴尬。加入的网络流行语把整个电影的风格搞得不伦不类…小孩看了也只能说还行的程度
